MySpace Music will 2010 den deutschen Markt erschließen 08-03-2010
Im Sommer 2010 will MySpace offenbar den bereits in den USA, Australien und Großbritannien verfügbaren Musikdienst MySpace Music in Deutschland einführen. Joel Berger, Geschäftsführer MySpace Deutschland, erläuterte nun in einem Interview mit "Zeit Online" die Hintergründe zum Deutschlandstart und Details zu dem werbefinanzierten Streamingangebot.
Berger erklärt, warum sich der deutsche Markteintritt des in den USA bereits im September 2008 lancierten Dienstes verzögerte: "Das liegt zum einen an technischen Dingen. Es dauert dann doch eine Weile, bis man eine Plattform angepasst hat. Zum anderen ist es eine Rechtefrage. Wir müssen mit den Copyright-Gesellschaften sprechen." Dennoch rechnet er damit, vor Mitbewerbern wie Spotify auf dem deutschen Markt vertreten zu sein. "Konkurrent Spotify aus Schweden hat gemeldet, dass sie in Deutschland erst einmal nicht an den Start gehen, wegen Unstimmigkeiten mit der GEMA. Insofern werden wir immer noch der Erste sein, auch wenn es mir sicher lieber gewesen wäre, wenn es schneller gegangen wäre."
Auch Einzelheiten zum Geschäftsmodell erklärte Berger: "Im Mittelpunkt steht das Free-Streaming von Songs, das durch Werbung finanziert wird. Eine Album-Premiere wird also gesponsert oder nach einer bestimmten Anzahl von Tracks folgt ein Werbespot. Für den Konsumenten bleibt alles kostenlos." Ergänzend soll es Links auf kostenpflichtige Downloadmöglichkeiten geben. Auch die angemessene Vergütung der Künstler sieht Berger durch dieses Modell gewährleistet: "Wie die Balance zwischen Streaming und E-Commerce aussieht, das wissen wir momentan selbst noch nicht, aber der Künstler erhält selbstverständlich seinen Teil vom Kuchen. Ich bin überzeugt, dass es für die Labels wie auch für die Künstler eine lohnende Geschichte wird."

Das Schnitzel auf dem Dach
Hi Freunde,
ich muss ja mal eine Story zum Besten geben.
Gestern mittag war ich zum Mittagessen verabredet mit einem Freund. Er bestellte sich im Restaurant ein großes Schnitzel mit Pfefferrahmsoße und Beilagen. Ich bestellte mir nur eine Kleinigkeit - natürlich beneidete ich ihn um sein großes Schnitzel. YummY !
Er konnte nicht alles essen, so ließ er sich ein "Doggy Bag" mitgeben und ich setzte ihn zuhause ab.
Bei meinen weiteren Unternehmungen am nachmittag habe ich mehrfach das Schnitzel auf dem Dach meines Volvos gesehen .....
Es war gut verpackt in Alufolie...
Nach dem Friseur sah ich es glitzern, beim Bauhof - Einkauf von Streusalz etc - beim Steuerberater vor der Tür und bei der Bank und Post... Jedesmal wurde ich abgelenkt und vergaß es vom Dach und mit in das Auto zu nehmen...........
Sehr viel später - ich hatte gerade eingeparkt zuhause - blitzte etwas silber farbiges - und ich dachte - das gibt es doch nicht !!!!!! - nun war ich schon 4 km unterwegs - in Kurven - mal rasant - mal schlitternd über eisige Buckelstraßen - Baustellen - und das Schnitzel war immer noch auf dem Autodach !!!!!
Vor der Haustür traf ich den Freund - der in der Nachbarschaft wohnt - und sagte: Schau : Das Schnitzel ist angekommen .....
Wir haben herzhaft gelacht - und nachdem das Schnitzel aufgetaut war... Na ???
... Hatte ich endlich mein Dinner: Das begehrte Schnitzel des Freundes

Clubbing to Combat Cancer @ Ministry Of Sound London
Clubbing to Combat Cancer 31-01-2010
Dean Laidler is 29, has Bowel Cancer for the second time in his life and instead of sitting around moping, has decided to stage a charity dance event in aid of Bowel Cancer UK.
As a chef from Oxford, to look at Dean you'd think he was a normal healthy chap in the prime of his life. But Dean is far from it, diagnosed with bowel cancer in 2004, he has undergone 2 major surgeries to remove his bowel completely, extensive chemotherapy and radiotherapy. In 2008 he was told it was back, this time in both his lungs. Dean now lives on a cancer management programme and all the while remains upbeat that some day he will be in remission.
Dean has a unique way of dealing with his condition, taking each day as it comes and making the most of life. As a way of coping, as well as giving something back to the cause, Dean came up with the idea for a charity clubbing event to raise money for Bowel Cancer UK 'DJs vs the Big C'.
He enlisted the help of his sister, Carla Prosser, who has previous experience with event organising and went to Bowel Cancer UK with his idea. They were thrilled, knowing that this would not only raise money but raise awareness, especially in the younger generation. As bowel cancer tends to affect people later in life, it can be easily missed unless the signs are followed up with a visit to the doctor.
The event will be held at the word renowned Ministry of Sound in London on Sunday 31st January from 2-9pm. Headline acts include Danny Ramplng, Xpress 2 and Funkagenda as well as club classic sets from John Kelly, Graeme Park and Allister Whitehead to name a few.
The initial interest has been astounding with the Facebook group attracting over 3000 members, a number which is growing each day.

Type 1 is a London based Techno/Minimal DJ and Producer/Engineer Baz Sanders.
Type 1 original line up was Baz Sanders & Glenn Sharpe, Glenn has sadly had to retire due to developing tinnitus in 2008.
It goes without saying that I will miss him dearly behind the decks and I sure the thousands of people he entertained over the years will too!
From the early days, when Type 1 discovered dance music at the infamous Freedom at Bagley’s at the age of seventeen, he was completely taken over by the music and the scene. And it was watching the Dj's spin each week that made him decide to invest in some decks and start buying the records they had been hearing at the weekend.
Type 1 has been working hard, playing mainly on the London circuit for 8 years and from this experience have rocked numerous residencies in London and have played at most of London’s major clubs and have held residencies at The Mass, The End, The Fridge, Fire and The Cross.
His presence on the decks and passion for the music has taken him through Europe, he toured Ibiza on numerous from occasions and has also played some great nights in Poland, Holland, Thailand and Goa.
At home in the UK, Type 1 is now the resident at a new club in Brighton called the G lounge, with their own techno night Subtronika Sessions.
Type 1 has his own studio and is spending worthwhile hours there producing purist forward-thinking techno, no two tunes he produces are the same and he takes pride in this.
Type 1 has current and future releases out on Whirlpool Sex Music, Italo Business, Noise Planet, Heatflow, Diplomatik, Techhead, Minima Tracx, Tekelec, Southern Lights, 54 Music & Itch Records.
Type 1's sound is currently being played by Richie Hawtin, Valentino Kanzyani, Piatto, Mario Piu, Marco V, Luca Ricci to name a few.

GEORGE F is a veteran of Electronic Dance Music, with over 18 years of experience.
As a DJ, he captivates his audience with his high energy performances that have contributed to his career. A pupil of the underground, George started at a young age - before building a formidable reputation as a name to be reckoned with, he has performed at major venues & festivals around the world.
George is a regular on the EDM scene, performing with the likes of Tiesto, Armin Van Buuren, Ferry Corsten, John Digweed, Paul Oakenfold, DJ Dan, Bad Boy Bill, BT, Dubfire, Sharam, Gabriel & Dresden, Robbie Rivera, Marco V, Laidback Luke, Axwell, Steve Angello, Donald Glaude, Carl Cox and many others.

In 2007, George also started GF Recordings, an extremely mean Label. He has received great recognition for his strong label, churning out quality music. In the beginning of 2009, he started his sub label GF Tekk Records to provide more fresh Techno influence for the audience around the world with top quality Minimal, Techno & Tech House releases.
GEORGE F’s material has exploded onto the scene in a relatively short period of time thanks to his talent and skills, you can find his tracks on top mix compilations from Ministry Of Sound, Toolroom, Cloud 9 and many others. Every track he creates goes out under his name, exposing his unique signature and massively groovy sound with sexy tribal percussion that is to die for.

The "First" Feedback:
...........This is a very exciting collection of dancefloor-ready tracks that are hard to pigeon hole.
I'd say each track is a variation on the the tech-house/minimal theme.
The standout remix is Kazakhstan's Miyake Noro's thumping, quirky electro-tech workout that will jack your body.
Platform B standout Joseph Disco uses an insistent beat and spooky vocal stabs to great effect and the Electric OM remix utilizes a serious techno riff with arresting vocals.
The original mix profits from a tribal orientation with perky, ass-shaking syncopation in a familiar minimal package. Overall full on support for this versatile set of clubland delights!!! It's already been in my mixshow!!!

while the whole DJ scene seems to be begging for votes to become the world’s number 1 DJ. LeRon & Yves Eaux just do what they do best…. Releasing quality dance music.
Raar Maar Waar (‘Strange But True’ in Dutch) by star dj/producer duo LeRon & Yves Eaux is now exclusively available on Beatport. The long awaited techhouse track is signed to Australian quality imprint Kindred Sounds.
The release comes in 3 tracks. The original version, co-produced by their protégé Luke Star, is a cool and funky techhouse track that works best for the more fashionable crowds. Remixes come from Kindred Sounds label boss Kriece who delivers a slower but remarkable dance floor bomb and Italy’s finest Presslaboys boost up the ‘tech’ in the track. Superb cool techno which is totally in demand these days.
The track gained a lot of attention for months. The preview on MySpace gathered over 16000 plays.
LeRon & Yves Eaux have been road testing it themselves during international gigs and everywhere were they dropped the party people responded very enthusiastic.
Colleague deejays such as Slam, X-Press 2, Sander Kleinenberg, Spektre, Cristian Varela are all over this release. They simply love it and you can be sure you will hear this track frequently in their sets.
